Henryk Niemasz killed Hubert Buxton and Alice Buxton.

He had been having an affair with Alice Buxton and she wanted him to leave his wife for her but he had no intention of doing so.

At the scene of the crime Police discovered the broken barrel of a shotgun and in the house several letters from a lover signed Henryk.

The investigation led them to a close friend of the couples called Grypa Niemasz whose husband was Henryk Niemasz, however, Henryk Niemasz had an alibi as his wife said he was in bed with her at the time of the crime.

When police searched his house thy discovered the stock of the shotgun which matched exactly the broken barrel. His wife then confessed to making the alibi up.

In court Henryk Niemasz stated that he had paid a man called George to carry out the murder who he had met in the pub, but the jury didnt believe him and he was executed.
